Lauren is going into her final year of undergrad at the Sprott School of Business. She is completing a double concentration in Marketing and Management. She joined the SBSS in 2022 as a PR Manager, took on the role of Content Creator the following year, was last year’s Vice President of Marketing and this year, she is excited to take on the role of SBSS President. Lauren’s main goals for this year are to empower students by being financially transparent and supportive, and to foster a stronger community by collaborating with other clubs and local businesses. Her focus is on a successful year by offering fun, intentional events and initiatives and tracking progress to ensure future growth.

Ava is entering her fifth year of the undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce program concentrating in International Business and Marketing. She joined SBSS in her second year of university as a formals committee member, in third year joined the social committee, and fourth year the SBSS upper year rep. In her fifth and final year she will be working as the Vice President of Internal Relations. Throughout Ava’s time as a Sprottie, she has made many amazing friends and great connections with like minded peers and faculty members, all a result of her involvement in the school community and extra curriculars. Ava hopes to further these connections while being in a greater leadership role this year and encourage the next generation of Sprotties to get involved and enjoy the benefits of being in your school community. Ava’s goal for the year is to foster a strong sense of community, learning, and fun amongst the SBSS portfolios, students, faculty, and all 13 Sprott umbrella clubs. Ava believes that by uniting the Sprott team, we can make a greater impact and achieve new heights. Through collaboration and an inclusive culture, both within the council and across the school, we can build success this year for long term sustainability.

Noah is entering his third year of the undergraduate BCom Honours program with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Psychology. He began his involvement with the SBSS on the Corporate Relations Committee before serving as the Public Relations Director last year. As the Corporate Relations VP, Noah’s primary goal is to connect students with their local community and facilitate successful events through community partnerships. He aims to bring diverse and engaging professional individuals to events, helping students expand their networks while at Sprott. Noah hopes to create long lasting partnerships with community organizations and businesses during his time in the role so that the SBSS can continue to be successful for years to come

Blake is entering his fifth year of the Commerce program at the Sprott School of Business with a concentration in Finance. This is his first year in SBSS as the Vice President of Finance. With the help of his portfolio, Blake intends to cultivate deeper connections with Sprott clubs and the student body. The Finance portfolio is also focusing on maintaining financial accountability to promote transparency and value for students. Blake aims to achieve this through audit controls, financial reporting, clear communication, and being an accessible resource for Sprott clubs and students.

Monica is going into her fifth year of undergrad at the Sprott School of Business with a concentration in International Business and a stream in Marketing. She joined the SBSS in her second year as an Academics Co-Director, following that in her third year she was the Social Director, and then was the VP Student Life this past year, she is now thrilled to be this year’s Vice President of Professional Development. Monica’s main goals this year is to increase event engagement, grow participation from first year students, and collaborate with local Ottawa Businesses! Additionally, she plans to incorporate the organizations’ EDI and sustainability initiatives into each of her portfolio’s events. Monica’s team is really excited to bring the Sprott community some fun events such as the Internal Case Cracking Competition and the super fun end of year SBSS Gala!

Costa is entering his fifth year of the Commerce program at the Sprott School of Business with a concentration in Management. He first joined the SBSS as a social media director, and is now proud to serve as this year’s Vice President of Marketing. Costa’s main goal is to strengthen the SBSS brand and build a strong sense of connection across the Sprott community through creative, engaging, and consistent content. With the support of his portfolio, he aims to highlight student opportunities, showcase events, and promote collaboration with various clubs and initiatives throughout Sprott. Costa is excited to grow the SBSS’s presence both online and in-person while helping students feel more connected, represented, and involved throughout their time at Sprott.

Salma Abu Zeinah (she/her)
Salma is going into her fourth year of undergrad at the Sprott School of Business with a concentration in Finance. She joined the SBSS in her second year as a Formals Committee Member, following that in her third year she was the Corporate Social Responsibility Co-Director and is now thrilled to be this year’s Vice President of Student Life. Salma’s main goal this year is to create a vibrant and welcoming space for all students through inclusive, engaging, and high-impact events. She also plans to collaborate with local Ottawa businesses to enhance each event under the Student Life portfolio. Salma’s team is really excited to bring the Sprott community some fun events such as the Charity Golf Tournament, 5K Charity Run, International Student Ski Trip, Sprott vs. Telfer Hockey Game, and much more!
